Moles are skin growths and medically known as “nevi.” They are made up of cells that produce color(pigment) and most often identified as small, dark brown spots on the skin. They can be found in all areas of the body and in most cases are harmless.
There are different types of moles and one among is congenital moles, which are present from birth and another type is acquired moles, which appears later in life. In certain cases, moles can also become cancerous and therefore it is important to consult dermatologists and monitor moles in the detection of skin cancer.
Melanin is the pigment that gives color to our skin and is produced by skin cells called melanocytes. Moles are caused when these melanocytes are distributed unevenly as clusters or clumps in the skin. It is very common to have about 10 to 40 moles on the body.
Skin tags are painless, small, soft pieces of skin that are connected by a small, thin stalk called a peduncle. Skin tags are common in both men and women and are commonly found on the neck, armpits, upper trunk, thighs, eyelids, and body folds.
Here at EUDERMIZ, we use the Radio Frequency method, Q switched Tri-Beam Nd: YAG laser treatments, that seals the skin as it cuts away the mole or skin tag lesion from any area of the body. This method of mole and skin tag removal minimizes bleeding, leaving a temporary superficial scab that heals in a short time resulting in a smooth skin surface.
